first we have to find the slope of the first line. remember parallel lines have equal slopes.
slope is change in y over change in x so we have
(5-3)/(-2-1)=2/-3 so the line has slope -2/3.
we also know the point (2,6) is on the line. so we use point slope formula.
y-y1=m(x-x1) where m is slope and (x1,y1) is point on line
y-6=-2/3(x-2)

this is an equation of a line parallel to given points and passing through (2 6). you can put into slope intercept form by solving for y
