Studies have demonstrated that roundabouts are more secure than a conventional stop sign or flag controlled convergences. Roundabouts lessened damage crashes by 75 percent at crossing points where stop signs or flags were beforehand utilized for activity control, as per an investigation by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
Roundabouts are basically safer than the traditional controlled intersections. injury crashes are less at roundabout than in intersections. the main reason had to with the fact that roundabout are organized in a yield form of traffic which reduces control and congestion thus no overlapping, and other clashes.
