Kidney is a part of the excretory system of the body. The blood from all the organs of the body gets pumped into the kidneys through arteries for filtration. Kidneys contain nephrons, the smallest functional unit that performs the filtration of the blood by separating the toxins from the blood. The separated toxins are collected in the renal tubules of the nephrons. The urine then moves to the renal pelvis, the area at the centre of the kidney, from there it is moved to the urinary bladder.
At cellular, urine gets collected first in the renal tubules.
At tissue level, urine gets collected first in the renal pelvis.
