I believe the answer is: A. It was immoral to enslave another human being.

By acknowledging that people had the same value regardless of race, we could make the argument that forcing them to do something that they do not want to do is extremely immoral because we are treating them no better than animals. Lincoln made this argument to gained support for his abolition plan in the north.
