20 POINT QUESTION. EXPLAIN HOW YOU GOT THIS ANSWER. I WILL MARK AS BRAINLIEST THANK YOU :)

A temperature in degrees Fahrenheit is equal to 32 more than 9/5 times the temperature in degrees Celcius. One day, the high temperature in Edison, NJ, was 95 degrees Fahrenheit. What was the high temperature in degrees Celcius?

A. 35° C
B. 71° C
C. 113° C
D. 203° C

Respuesta :

the answer is A. 35° Celcius
95° Fahrenheit would be 35° degrees Celsius. To go from Celsius to Farenheit, the equation is (C°9/5) + 32.
(C° 9/5) + 32 =95 (subtract 32 on both sides!)
C° 9/5 = 63 (divide both sides by 9/5!)
C°=35

Hope this helps!
