His conservatism side was mostly seen in the economic policies he introduced. His cabinet had a lot of members of the big business elite who advised him on economic policies and ended things like obligatory government pricing and opened the market more compared to how it was before during the new deal business policies.
His activism side was seen in his civil rights engagement. Unlike Harry Truman who did some questionable things, Eisenhower pledged to end segregation in the United States arm forces which was a big problem for the previous administration after world war two and how African-American veterans were treated.
