Hi there!

Here's a couple of events that could have caused depression:

- Experiencing violence
Things such as sexual harassment or parents constantly fighting with each other can trigger depression.

- Stress
Stress is one of the top causes. Stress in high school, college, and career may increase your risk of depression.

- Medication
Some types of medication used to prevent or cure more severe diseases or illnesses may have a factor causing it to trigger depression.

Hope this helps!
