Hi there! Only Jenna wrote an expression that is equal to Ms. Peterson's.

[tex]4(3x + 5y + 2z) + 3(x - z)[/tex]
First we need to get rid of the parentheses.

[tex]12x + 20y + 8z + 3x - 3z[/tex]
Now we can collect the terms.

[tex]15x + 20y + 5z[/tex]
Now we can already see that Chris and Tom are in incorrect.

Finally, we also have a look at Jenna's expression.

[tex]5(3x + 4y + z)[/tex]
Working out the parentheses in this expression gives us the following:

[tex]15x + 20y + 5z[/tex]
As we can see now, this equals the original expression (with worked out parentheses) and therefore Jenna is correct.
