y=4

First start by adding -3y and 2y because they have the same variable. Now you have -1y=-4. Divide the -1y by -1 (-1y÷-1=1y or just y). Do the same to -4 (-4÷-1=4) because what you do to one side you have to do to the other. Now you have your final answer y=4

We simplify and get:

Dividing by -1 on both sides, we get:
y = 4
