When tanya comes home from the 10th grade dance in tears, she runs right to her room and slams the door. when her mother knocks to ask her what is wrong, she yells, "i can't believe he broke up with me at a dance! i don't want to talk about it. nobody could ever understand how i feel right now!" tanya's belief that her experience is unique and that nobody has ever experienced a similarly painful break-up demonstrates?

I believe the answer is: personal fable
personal fable refers to the personal belief that we had which give us a sense of uniqueness.
This personal fable rarely represent the true event in children life, but children tend to believe them so much to the point where every actions/behavior that they takes may be based on their personal fable.
