area of rectangle tabletop is 4 square feet. cassie will cover the tabletop with squares tile that an area of 1 square inch. how many tiles does cassie need to completely cover the tabletop

I would be guessing that since the square is 4ft squared I would imagine that it would have 2ft per side. That would mean 24inches per side. 24×4= 96inches.
96 tiles is what she needs. I am a little confused myself, hope this helps

so total area if 4 square feet
each tile is 1 square inch

How many square inches fit in 4 square feet
each square foot has 144 inches
the tabletop is 4 square feet
so it is 4 * 144 = 576 square inches

That means there will be 576 square inch tiles used.
