The U.S. was devastated, many people were dead, their land was broken and need to be rebuilt. Not to mention that they spent a lot of money into this war. Men went out to fight and women stepped up to the plate. Women became the people who worked and paid the bills. Women's suffrage is an result when the war ended. Germany's allies were defeated which forced them to sign the treaty of Versailles.
