The correct answer is c.Wages were not keeping pace with profits of business owners. This means that the amount of money the owners were making was much larger (unproportional) than the amount of money the employees were making. The stock market had nothing to do with it,

My answer just got deleted! Sorry! But the correct answer is C) Wages were not keeping pace with profits of business owners because if they weren't keeping up they would lose track of the profits people had and if they were earning to much. Hope this helps!
