Distance of two points can be calculaetd using formula:
[tex]d= \sqrt{ ( x_{2}- x_{1} )^{2}+ ( y_{2}- y_{1} )^{2} } [/tex]
Here x1 and y1 are coordinates of point A and x2 and y2 are coordinates of point B.

Now we insert numbers into formula:
[tex]d= \sqrt{ (-4- 0)^{2}+( 6- 1 )^{2} } = \sqrt{16+25} = \sqrt{41} =6.4[/tex]
you have to use distance formula witch is square root of y1,y2 and x1,x2 squared. after you use the formula you should get 6.4 as your answer
d=6.4
