Respuesta :

The following are two major differences between Sparta and Athens:

1) Government structure- Sparta was a military state. In this military state, men would serve in the military from age 7 to age 30. This structure revolved around having absolute control of society, ensuring that there were no new ideas from the outside world entering. On the other hand, Athens was a democratic government. This democratic government allowed citizens the right to vote on decisions that would be made by the government.

2) Art/Culture- In Sparta, there was little room for leisure activities like art/philosophy. Instead, Sparta focused on having the strongest military possible. Athens, on the other hand, became a center for Greek culture/architecture. Developments in Athens like philosophy, art, literature, and drama have lasting effects on the world to this day.
