What are three factors that caused Africa to become a growing source of slaves during the slave trade?
I have three answers to this, I just want them checked and/or better answers.
1) Slavery had existed in Africa for hundreds of years, especially in the Middle East. Europeans expanded this already existing slave trade.
2) Tribal and other wars were a major cause of the growth of slavery in Africa. After these wars, the soldiers from the losing side were taken prisoner and sold into slavery.
3) Europeans needed cheap labor to work their land in the Americas.

Answer:

The Europeans were the ones who did most of the transportation of the slaves from Africa. Europeans gave them a justification about utilizing them for labor also while trying to teach them about god.

They were a resource to get because many tribes in Africa would capture and sell their rivals to the slave traders in exchange for beer, weapons, and also supplies.

Allowed Africa to come between Europe and South America which had them for selling sugar and rum. Yet, in africa buying slaves to sell in North and South America.
