Respuesta :

the first step to DNA replication is  to unzip the double matrix which also means that they will break the double matrix.

The recognition of the origins of replication by proteins, and the separation of the double helix by helicase is the first step in DNA replication.

What is DNA replication?

Replication is the process by which a DNA molecule generates two identical to itself, and is key in cell reproduction.

Characteristics of DNA replication

  • It consists of the separation of the two strands of DNA, each of which will function as a template to synthesize a new partner.

  • The helicase separates the strands of the DNA molecule, once they are separated, a group of proteins joins them whose function is to prevent the strands from joining again and in this way replication holes are formed.

Therefore, we can conclude that at the end of DNA replication there will be two identical molecules of the original DNA, both in a double helix, hence replication is key to inheritance.
