Persistence is important to all individuals in any walks of life. Scientists are not the exception for having this trait. Creativity can be taught but persistence is an attitude. Doing something continuously, efficiently and timely and not be mindful to critics is a great trait for scientists because in the world of discovering things, people always racing for the first discovery or invention. No one was ever credited for being the second, however, people were credited for correcting things thought to be generalized facts in the ancient times so persistence amidst failures has been key for the success of scientists.
