Progressive Era was a period between 18961916 that led to political, social, cultural reform in U.S. It led to formation of various labor unions which contributed in forming fair and just labor laws.

What was the labor laws reform in South California in progressive era?

During the progressive era, many labor unions were formed, and it worked for the betterment of labors condition and hence the labor laws were constituted. Such as working for 8 hours a day and providing better working condition.

Example to show how labor laws reform effected South California and U.S. as a whole: Is on the last day of his tenure, President William signed a bill for establishing Department of Labor in 1913.
