(5/6 * 2/2) + (5/6 *2/2) + (1/4 *3/3) = 10/12 + 10/12 + 3/12 = 23/12
23/12 = 1 11/12 miles.

Maria did not walk more than 2 miles. She only walked 1 11/12 miles.
