The term judicial review refers to the power of the Judicial Branch of the government. The Judiciary or justices review legislation passed by the legislative branch and signed by the executive branch. 

A court with judicial review may deem a legislation or decision unconstitutional and invalidate it. Legislation and lower court decisions must not deviate from the terms written in the constitution.
