Given:
old rate = 6.75 per hour
new rate = 7.47 per hour

Because the problem only asks for the difference in amount, you simply deduct the old rate from the new rate.

7.47 - 6.75 = 0.72 

The new job would pay you 0.72 more than your old job.

To do this all we need to do is subtract the new pay per hr by the old pay per hr. The answer will be the amount more you make per hr. Lets do it:-

7.47 - 6.75 = 0.72
At the new job you will earn $0.72 more cents

CHECK OUR WORK:-

6.75 + 0.72 = 7.47
We were RIGHT!!

So, at the new job you will earn $0.72 more cents.
