a heterogenous mixture is a mixture of two different substances, and looked mixed to the human eye. for example, Guacamole, Trail Mix, Sand in water, and Poppy seed muffin. (sorry for all the food XD)
heterogenous is a "mixture" of 2 or more substances that look separated. homogenous is a mixture of 2 or more substances that stay mixed together/dissolve. attached is a picture of a heterogenous mixture.
