In my classroom, my biggest norm is to listen and write down what peers are saying. Often times, students are eager to share a response just to hear themselves speak. It's so important to listen to each other in order to truly build on your learning and expand your thinking about the text. It's also incredibly important to come prepared with questions about the text/ content to ask peers, this collaborative thinking is essential in development.
