ANSWER: There are no proper way to measure the success or failure of online advertising if measured through click-through rate method. The mechanism only says the number of clicks the advertisement could attract and can never track the revenue generated out of it. If this is the only mechanism followed then it is better to keep a manual record and differentiate between the normal day sale than the sale generated during advertisement campaigns. Another way of keeping track is to monitor the traffic generated on the website.
