the suns mass 2.7 x 10 times greater than the moons. how does the suns gravitational force on the earth compare with of the moons

The sun's mass is  2.7 x 10⁷  times the Earth's mass.
(That little ⁷ that you left out makes a big difference.)

The sun is also about  391 times as far from Earth as
the moon is.

So we would expect the gravitational forces between the
sun and the Earth to be about

                       (2.7 x 10⁷) / (391²)

                   =  (2.7 x 10⁷) / (1.53 x 10⁵)

                   =  about  176 times

the strength of the gravitational forces between
the moon and the Earth.

That's stronger, by a factor of about 176 .
