The Mycenaeans were the ones who conquered the Minoans. Prior to their downfall, they inhabited Crete
from 2500 to 1400 B.C. They built ships, grew grapes, olives and traded with exchanged
goods with other people such Greeks, Egyptians and other people in the Mediterranean
region. They were named after their King
Minos. Their city was called Knossos and
it was protected by their navy. Their
civilization came to an end due to internal turmoil and raids caused by the
Myceneans.
