I believe the answer is: memory is stored in the golden pages of the brain


According to the narrator's initial assumption, all of the memory that we keep inside our head would be recorded in one giant list,

There are studies which shows that when we exhale, the part of our brain that store memory show less stimulation compared to when we inhale.
