How does a resistor affect the speed of the current that passes through it?

The speed of the current CHOOSE ONE ( INCREASES / DECREASES / STAYS THE SAME )

Respuesta :

A resistor DECREASES the speed of current as a resistors job is to resist the flow of electrons

The resistance is nothing but the obstruction posed to the current flowing through it. as the resistance increases, the amount of obstruction increases and makes the current to flow more slowly through the resistor. hence increase in the value of resistance results in decrease in the speed of the current.

The speed of the current decreases.
