Why is A strong economy should be a country's most important goal.?

I'm going out on a limb here..

A strong economy is an important goal for countries because if the economy is strong, then all other aspects will be easier to manage and make strong. The government wants people to be satisfied with the economy, because that will encourage more people to help continue it and make it stronger.
