Since we already have the measurement of the adjacent side and we want to find the hypotenuse, we use the cosine to find our answer.

[tex] \cos( \alpha ) = \frac{adjecent}{hyptenuse} [/tex]
[tex] \cos(24) = \frac{11}{x} [/tex]

Therefore
[tex]x = \frac{11}{ \cos(24) } = 12.0[/tex]
Hence, the length of x is about 12.0
