This is fairly simple. If you are looking for the cost per lb., you would just divide the total cost by the number of pounds.

7.75 ÷ 3 = 2.5833333333

Since we are talking about money, you would round it to the tenths.

This would be 2.58.

Therefore, it is $2.58 per pound of coffee.
