Hi there!

According to PEMDAS, we always need to find the value in the parenthesis first.
In this case, we would do 90 ÷ 9 first.

Hope this helps!

Remember PEMDAS:

P: Parenthesis
E: Exponent
M: Multiplication
D: Division
A: Addition
S: Subtraction

Parenthesis comes first, so let's look inside the parenthesis. We have both addition and division inside the parenthesis, Division comes first on the list, so we do this first. Divide 90 ÷ 9.
