Hubert Humphrey was nominated for president at the 1968 Democratic National Convention.

After former President Lyndon B. Johnson announced that he would not come back into the office, Vice President Hubert Humphrey was elected President and Senator Edmund Muskie was elected Vice President. Humphrey was in the office from 1965 to 1969. After his term was over, he became Senator of Minnesota.
