Sentence (i) has been shortened in sentence (ii) by using an D. adjective. Instead of saying location that is in the sun, it is easier to just use an adjective sunny to refer to the same thing and shorten the entire sentence. A connective is a conjunction, a prefix is something you add to the root of a word (re- + do = redo, where re- is a prefix), and a phrase would require more than one word.
