It begins at the OriC or the origin of replication. It is particular sequence of genome at which the replication is initiated. In prokaryotes, it typically begins at a single origin of replication. For example, in E. coli the origin of replication is made of three A-T rich repeats. The process of replication is the initial step in the central dogma of molecular biology. Most of the bacterias have a singular circular molecule of DNA and usually have a single origine of replication along its circular chromosome.
