x+2y=8
2y=8-x |:2
[tex]y=-\frac{1}{2}x+4[/tex]
y=ax+b ==> [tex]y=-\frac{1}{2}x+4[/tex]
We calculate the zeros of functions (0,b)
(0,b) = (0,4)
We have solution:
x=0, y=4

If we put x = 0, we get
0 + 2y = 8
=> y = 8 / 2 = 4

if we put y = 0
x + 2 ( 0 ) = 8
=> x = 8

It means that solution set is { (0,4) , ( 8,0 ) }
