Unlike in most other Eastern European countries, the fall of communism in Romania involved significant bloodshed. Identify at least three reasons why the revolution took place.

Respuesta :

The road to revolution in Romania was different than many of her Communist counterparts, instead of transitioning peacefully from Communist rule to representative government the people of Romania engaged in a bloody revolution. Some of the many reasons for this include the cultural and political oppression exercised by the former Communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu during the previous decades, as well as a shortage of goods including basic necessities, food. Another reason for widespread bloodshed during the revolution were the actions and support of the military and generals, both for and against Ceausescu.
The violence of Ceausescu, complaints about communism, demands for democracy, complaints about a lack of freedom, complaints about Ceausescu family members.
