Three parasitic flagella and their Vectors:

1.    Giardasis is a parasite that causes diarrhea or Giardia Lamblia infection in humans and animals It infects the small intestines of Human beings and animals once they ingest Giardia cysts from contaminated food and water or fecal-oral route.  Plasmid or prokaryotic DNA is the vector for this parasite

 

2.    Trypanosoma cruzi is a parasite that causes Chagas disease. These parasites occur in the bloodstreams of man but do not multiply there.  Vector for this parasite is hemipterous or kissing bugs.

 

3.    Trichomonas vaginalis is a parasite that can be found in the vagina of women and urethra of men.This parasite does not survive more than 24 hours outside the body of the host. Vector for this parasite is the human male.
