Explain how prohibition came to be viewed as a problem rather than a solution
What was supposed to happen:
i. They said if we make it illegal for people to buy alcohol then they will stop drinking it (This didn't happen)
People either:
i. Make it themselves - bad thing to do because you could make alcohol with a high percentage, alcohol poisoning
ii. Got their alcohol from organized crime
1. they would bootleg it in from other places then sell it
2. a lot of innocent people would be killed from the organized crime competition
a. the murder rates increased
b. the crime rates would increase
Americans have this thing about "don't tell me what I can't do":
i. When they are told they can't do something that makes them want to do it
