I would say withdrawal or addiction. I would say withdrawal because he's wanting the drug again while he's not having it at the moment because he craves it and it has become a part of his normal life routine. Though that may not be what you're representing in this question, and then I would tell you that it would be addiction because Russell wants more of the drug just so he can feel that normal high.
