Radio telescopes are specialized “antenna” and a “radio receiver”. This is used to receive radio waves. It observes space by receiving radio signals.
Analog signal transmit data in the form of wave
Digital signal will be in the form of ones and zeros. High value represents 1 and low value represents 0. It is like on and off switch.
Eg.
Analog signal & Digital signal:
Aneriod barometer
digital signature
Digital photography
Digital Satellite system
Digital television
Cell phones
Analog computer
There are a lot of uses for Analog and Digital Signals. The three ways we use analog and digital signals in our everyday lives are;
- In Systems, it is used in Audio recording and reproduction of any kind.
- They are found in Temperature sensors, which are used to detect changes in temperature.
- It is used in Telephones as a form of Digital signals that helps to convey information with low noise, distortion, etc.
From the 1930s, the first radio signals from space was known to be detected by Karl Jansky. Astronomers are known to use radio telescopes to explore the Universe through the act of finding or detecting radio waves emitted by a big or large range of objects.
