Explanations

1. If you are polite with your teacher you might have a chance to get your grade improved but if you did any of the other options they would either not answer you at all or not take you seriously.

2. Giving a speech to the Board of Education has to be professional so being formal is the best option. It shows that you have done some heavy research and put some real thought into it. If you do any of the other options they will consider you either disrespectful or not serious. Then they will promply dismiss you.

4. You would need to add some real good and factual reasons why you would be a good student governemt president because otherwise you will sound boastful and concedent and nobody will vote for you. If you just trash talk your oponet people will wonder what you can do better. Plus if your opponet goes after you they can dismiss your claims and use that against you. Also if you just tell stories his classmates will consider him sappy and no real progress would be made to justify why he should by student government president.

5. I think the letter is about a previous romantic partner because of "I think she still wishes there was a chance for us," and " Our mothers talk about our dating lives." This letter just screams past romance. Plus it said our mothers which imply that the writer is not writing to his mother. It couldn't be a realitive because it says that the writer wishes there was still a chance for them. It could be a lost but the tone, as well as the clues, makes it obvious that this letter is meant for a previous romantic partner.

Hope this helps.
