What is cellular respiration?

Use complete sentences to explain how the mass of carbon is conserved during cellular respiration.

Please do at least 3 sentences :) Thx

Definition : "Cellular respiration is a set of metabolic reactions and processes that take place in the cells of organisms to convert biochemical energy from nutrients into adenosine triphosphate (ATP), and then release waste products."

Simplified :
Cellular respiration is used to take in food, then is used to create ATP. ATP is a chemical the cell uses for energy. This process is called aerobic respiration. The process uses oxygen, and has four stages known as  Link reaction, glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain.

You might want to re-word the simple version a little, I worded it the best I could but I used information from wiki.

Answer with explanation:

Cellular respiration:

Cellular respiration is the process of break down of carbohydrates to produce energy adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the cell.

  • We eat food which contains many biochemical molecules like protein, lipids, and carbohydrates. All these compounds are organic in nature because found in living organisms and convert ultimately into simper carbohydrate for the respiration.
  • Cellular respiration is a chemical process which breaks downs a 6 carbons compound into 3 carbon dioxide molecules and water molecules in the presence of oxygen and produces a huge amount of energy in form of ATPs.
