Leschi’s first trial resulted in a hung jury and a mistrial. Leschi was convicted of murder in the second trial. There was no new evidence introduced in the second trial. What other conditions changed from the first to the second trial that could explain the guilty conviction in the second trial?

Respuesta :

The second jury evaluated the credibility of witnesses differently that the first jury. The second jury gave different weight to different parts of the evidence than the first. The arguments of the lawyers closing statements were different, perhaps inducing the second jury to view the evidence differently than the first jury did.
