The Independence Day of Sri Lanka is celebrated on 4th of February each year. Sri Lanka got its Independence from the British rule in the year 1948.
This day is observed as a national holiday in the country of
Sri Lanka. People celebrate this day by hoisting national flags and remembering
those people that laid down their lives for the independence of this country.
Numerous national struggles are remembered for getting the Independence from
the oppression of the British rule.
