Capitalism emerged as an economic force in Great Britain.
When we talk about industrial capitalism, we can easily point out Great Britain. We had different economic systems that precede capitalism, such as feudalism and mercantilism. But the system that really developed the idea of private property and the means of production are owned by individuals and businesses instead of a state or an aristocracy.
