If a child on the street who has nothing is willing to share, why are we who have everything still so greedy?
Suzuki most likely includes this question in her speech to
A point out that children are usually more generous than adults.
B make the audience feel uncomfortable about being greedy.
C explain how adults usually behave greedily.
D inform listeners that children live on the street.

Respuesta :

I'll say B. becuase it most likely fit this situation stated, to show how greedy someone or something really is compared to others.

The correct answer is: B) Make the audience feel uncomfortable about being greedy.

Susuki uses the word "we" to make clear that everyone listening to her has been at some point greedy. We can infer that the audience belongs to the middle or high class as she also claims that they "have everything", meaning that their basic needs are always satisfied, as well as some luxuries. If a child that lives in the streets and therefore owns anything can share, someone that owns a lot can do it too. By making this comparison Suzuki wants them to be emphatic and realize that they are fortunate as a result she expects they will start sharing more and helping the ones in need. She appeals to pathos as she deliverately provokes an emotional reaction, shame.
