1. set up the problem5 x 2/3
2. put a 1 on 5 to make it a fraction5/1 x 2/3
3. multiply and divide(5 x 2) / (1/3)
4. find out the answer10/3
5. turn the answer into a mixed fraction10 divided by 3= 3.1 3 stays the same you don't need to say 1
6. it equals3 1/3
7. so the answer is3 1/3

I would take 5 rectangles and divide it in to 3 equal pieces. Then I would shade in two of the pieces in each rectangle.
