Pat has a 10-centimeter length of string she is going to use to measure a small square table. The side length she measures is 5 strings. What are the dimensions of the table?

5 strings means 5 times the lenth of the string, or 5*10cm which is 50 cm.

So the area of the table (which is square) is 50*50=2500cm². or 0.25m²

It's not a full square meter which would be 1 meter by 1 meter or 100cm*100cm=10000cm²
